Moments

Occasionally time stands still, and I think to myself...This is life. Breathe in the moment. Luke softly 'playing' Grandma-Great's piano while the sun shines in on him. His little round fingers. The batman bandaid wrapped around one of them. This is the moment I wish he could stay little forever.

We do not remember days; we remember moments. --Cesare Pavese

Yes!! I have the same awareness as similar moments pass by: the smell of my daughter's hair as she sits on my lap, the giggle, the sheer joy of riding the scooter in the wind, etc. etc. These are the little vignettes that make Motherhood the most precious vocation.
Made me think of these words from the famous play, "Our Town":

"Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it?—every, every minute?"
