Oh, Phooey!

Well, folks, I had a long and involved post on poetry and memorization ready to publish and it is, POOF, gone. My energy and time has already been spent, and I'm so disappointed. It will have to wait for another day.

I've been feeling under the weather for almost 3 weeks, now. No, not pregnant. Some sort of viral infection maybe. We have a date weekend coming up on Saturday, and it appears that Leif is coming down with a cold. Luke has some strange congestion that is hanging on and we might be heading to the doctor tomorrow to check it out. Levi seems to have a bit of a tummy bug. I really wanted to take our yearly family pictures on the beach on Monday, but it looks like the weather won't be cooperating. Sigh.

I apologize to those of you who have emailed me and I haven't yet responded. I'm sorry that I haven't felt up to posting anything exciting, inspiring, or informative lately. It has taken everything I have just to get through the days and get some schooling done. Maybe we'll be back up to speed by the middle of next week. Until then, send some prayers our way! We'd appreciate it.

Definitely sending prayers your way - that ALL of you will be feeling much much better SOON!

Y'know ... there have been a couple times when I've not felt well and haven't been able to find the energy to do "real" school, that I've gotten an extended book on tape and we've all lazed around, listened, colored, and called it school for a day. Just sayin' ... ;-)

Hope you can get some refreshment and rest this weekend and start "renewed" on Monday!

We all have days or weeks or months :) like that!

Praying for you right now. There is nothing more draining than being sick with sick children! Hope you feel better soon.

I feel for you. My 5-year-old is curled up in his bed with a fever and a stomach ache. A stomach ache that he has been complaining about off and on since Monday. Nice mama. Off to the doc this morning. I can't get over the fear that he will just catch something worse at the doc's office, you know?

I hope you feel better, and the rest of the fam too!!

skeller~ Oh, I have no problem getting out books on CD and other things for a few days, but three weeks?! And the first three weeks of our school year after getting less done this summer than I had planned?! So frustrating! Part of me is freaked out that this is the new normal for me (it isn't, but I get freaked out easily). I'm really feeling for those mothers (especially working or homeschooling moms) who are pregnant or have a chronic thing they battle with. Wowsa! I don't know how they do it.

I guess it doesn't help that my 2 yo decided these past couple weeks that napping is for babies. I really counted on that time for math, piano practice, and other schooling that we really need concentration for. I'm sooooo tired by the end of the day. I've been putting the boys to bed as early as possible and then falling in myself. So much for house cleaning, book reading, school planning.....

I appreciate the good thoughts and prayers, everyone!!

I will pray you all get feeling better! Try to rest, and know that things will get done in time. Thank you for being so authentic and real about how you are doing. Thanks for caring about us bloggers out here and letting us in on your life a bit.
Lifting you up in prayer.

You're in our thoughts & prayers. While I miss all of the fun & interesting post, rest & take care of yourself. Remember that God dosen't give you anything that you can't handle & he may even be teaching you something. He's teaching me all the time. Learning to roll with the punches is just a small part of the bigger picture. Use this to teach your boys that taking care of themselves is a good thing. Everything is a learning experience if your open to it. I think sometimes I'm the main one learning, but we always use it.

Thanks again, everyone! I'm feeling a little better today. Looks like we're headed to the coast tomorrow with a sick 2 yr old, but hopefully we'll still get some time to relax. Hopefully I'll have some posts and pictures up by Tuesday.

Blogger must have something going on because the same thing happened to me. It's SO discouraging to pour your time into a post, and then have it gone. And yep, then all my teen could say was, "Mom, I have been telling you to do everything in Word and not on blogger. " It didn't help...hee hee.
Hopefully your weekend away is exactly what you need.
