Contemplations

It never ceases to amaze me, this time speeding by like a freight train. I feel all funky, and busy, and lazy—all at the same time. Life is good, so good. I want to be content, but not complacent. I’m thinking of this past year, so close to an end; this new year, just on the brink.

My reading was almost non-existent in 2011 because I had so little ME time and I just needed sleep. I need to return to intentional reading.

May was a great month of healthy eating, but bad habits slowly returned and December has been a very unhealthy one. I haven’t spent regular time exercising since I stopped walking with my sister in 2010! I need to return to healthy eating and exercising.

LIFE was my one little word for 2011. (I’m all about 4-letter L words…) What will be my focus for 2012? Will it be just one little word?

Are you thinking about the new year? Are you making plans or taking each day as it comes?

I like the "funky, busy and lazy" description. Fits me this week, too. :)

It's it an option to say both? Making plans and and taking it one day at a time. : ) Thank you for your sweet comment. I'm still hoping to meet you guys in person this year, too! : )

Btw, I have a theory that what introverts feel is laziness in themselves may actually just be extreme exhaustion. Especially in introverts that are used to high productivity. And I know of few other people who would be as exhausted as you. That's my way of saying you're awesome. : )

Also with as full of LIFE as your 2011 was I am really curious what your 2012 word will be. : )

Good question. Last year at this time I remember feeling restless. I had kitchen remodeling on the brain, but couldn't start yet. And I was really beginning to want another baby. This year seems all nice and laid out... The kitchen will be finally finished in the next few weeks. I will be cooking up feasts to make up for lost time, and will have to exercise, too! And in July, we'll welcome baby #4! If all goes as planned, I'll be nursing and sleeping the second half of 2012. :)

Oh my goodness! I've gotten so behind on blog reading and I stop by for a visit and find your kids so BIG now! I don't even think Lola was standing the last time I was here. Wowee, zowee.
