I know you are honest about such things (which I love). I want to do all these things. I see all these interesting books and the many choices of wonderful curriculum. But, now I am to the point of thinking maybe I need to just give them something to do on their own instead of thinking that I can lead all this learning. I mean, someone has to wash the clothes and dishes and cook the meals, etc.. I'm not complaining. This is all I ever wanted to do. But, I just wish I could "get it all together". I know you are not one of those people that can go on four or five hours of sleep a night. Could you maybe share an average of how much time you spend doing all these things daily. Are you scheduled? I could go on and on; but, you get the idea. I am just trying to be realistic as I plan and order for next year. What am I really able to do/going to be disciplined to do. Thanks, as always. You are a blessing to me!Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13633031403916843768noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5750282299627894194.post-73490984865893446362010-03-10T08:27:17.173-08:002010-03-10T08:27:17.173-08:00I didn't know about the B. Spier's "Noah's Ark" is a favorite of my 2 yo son.
I am interested in hearing more about how you incorporate Sonlight into your Classical Ed approach. I am in the thick of all the reading and research regarding all of the methods. Kindergarten starts for my oldest in the fall. We use the 'Christian Kids Explore' series as our organizing science narrative, much like we use 'Story of the World' for history. The series has four books (Biology, Space & Earth Science, Chemistry, and Physics), which correspond with the recommended sequence in The Well-Trained Mind. We are just starting book #3, so maybe I'll post more details in the next week or two.

Timi and Heather~ Richard Scarry and Peter Spier are both favorites around here in general, too. I also like the Star Spangled Banner and the We the People he does. And many, many others.
Richard Scarry are very popular here too. All three are added to my list to buy or at least check out at the library. Do you follow Sonlight's science program or just purchase books that they have listed.
